The Dindigul Town North Police on Tuesday arrested Arif Ahmed, 32, on the charges of possession of narcotic substances at his pharmacy in Dindigul. His father Abdullah Badsha, 63, is absconding. The police are on the look out for him.
The police received information alleging that pain relievers were being sold at the pharmacy without the valid doctor prescription. Acting on the tip-off, the police team conducted an inspection at the pharmacy and seized the narcotic substances from the store. The police officials arrested Arif Ahmed. Subsequently, he was remanded in judicial custody.
