Dindigul district secured 17th rank and Theni district 22nd rank respectively in the overall pass percentage in State-wide Class XII Board Examination results announced on Friday.

Dindigul district recorded 95.92% pass. A total of 21,050 students (11,322 girls and 9,728 boys) took the board examinations. Out of the total students, 20,191 students (11,070 girls and 9,121 boys) passed the Class XII Board examinations. As many as 86 out of 215 schools in the district achieved 100% pass.

Theni district recorded 95.27% pass. A total of 12,632 students (6,625 girls and 6,007 boys) took the board examinations. Out of the total students, 12,034 students (6,428 girls and 5,606 boys) passed the Class XII Board examinations. As many as 51 out of 141 schools in the district achieved 100% pass.

Both the districts slightly improved their ranks and pass percentage. Last year Dindigul district recorded 94.90% pass and stood 20th in the State while Theni district recorded 94.43% pass and stood 24th in the State.
