The Quthbullapur police have registered a case against a man for encroaching on government land in Gajularamaram village and obstructing revenue officials during a demolition drive.
According to police, the case was registered based on a complaint lodged by the Mandal Revenue Officer of Quthbullapur Mandal in Medchal–Malkajgiri district.
The complainant alleged that the accused, identified as Feroz Khan, a resident of Nehru Nagar, had illegally occupied government land in Survey No. 79 of Gajularamaram village and began unauthorised construction on the site.
Police said that on Thursday, June 11, revenue officials visited the location to remove the alleged encroachment and demolish the unauthorised structure. During the operation, Khan prevented the officials from carrying out their duties and obstructed the demolition process.
The accused further threatened the officials and stated that he would commit suicide if the construction was demolished. Officials claimed that his actions amounted to intimidation and interference with the discharge of their lawful duties. An investigation is underway.
