Rickard Gustafson, CEO, SKF, a Swedish firm that makes bearings, seals, lubrication systems, said his company, in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services, would build operational and AI foundations that would set new standards for precision and customer value across the industry.

“The next decade of industrial manufacturing will be defined by how deeply companies integrate AI into how they design, produce, and serve. SKF intends to lead that shift,’’ said Mr. Gustafson in a stock exchange filing made by TCS on Tuesday.

He said, with TCS, the company was not just modernising its technology, but was building operational and AI foundations for the future. ``This is a long-term commitment, made between two companies that share a conviction about where industrial manufacturing is heading, ‘Mr. Gustafson added.

TCS has entered into a strategic partnership with SKF to accelerate intelligent transformation across its global operations. Through this collaboration, TCS would enable SKF to build a future-ready digital enterprise, leveraging AI to reimagine industrial manufacturing business. As part of the engagement, TCS would provide end-to-end managed services across applications, infrastructure, data, end-user services, security, and connectivity for SKF across the globe, said TCS.
