While congratulating meritorious students who have secured the highest scores in SSLC, MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur has suggested to the Education Department officials that they guide failed students properly to get results and ensure a 100% pass in future examinations.

He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a programme to felicitate meritorious students in Yadgir on Wednesday.

Mr. Tunnur said that the district has registered a considerable improvement because of the efforts being made by teachers and officers of the Education Department.

“I extend my wishes to students who have achieved good results and appeal to the department officers and teachers to put more focus on failed students to ensure similar results in future examinations,” Mr. Tunnur said.

Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar said that 86 schools in the district have registered 100% pass.

“The district’s improvement has been appreciated by the Minister for Education. The officers should ensure 100% pass in next year’s examination also,” he added.

Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat Lavish Ordia said that the district crossed 91% pass due to the relentless efforts being made by the officers, especially Deputy Director of Public Instructions Channabasappa Mudhol who initiated many new programmes to encourage students to appear for the examinations fearlessly.

Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar said that the district has seen many milestones in the education sector. Four young talents successfully passed UPSC examinations, while two young advocates became judges after passing judicial examinations.

“These achievements have brought a good name to the district and I wish for all to take it forward with enthusiasm in the future,” he said.

Meritorious students, teachers and officers were felicitated during the event.
