The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced a temporary suspension of metro services on a section of the Purple Line on May 10, 2026 (Sunday) to facilitate essential maintenance works.
According to a press release, train services will be curtailed between Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji Station (Hosahalli) and Cubbon Park Metro Station from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The maintenance work will be carried out between Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic), and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Station (Central College).
During the two-hour period, metro services will operate as per schedule on select stretches, including Challaghatta to Vijayanagar and M.G. Road to Whitefield (Kadugodi) on the Purple Line. Services on other corridors, including Madavara to Silk Institute and R.V. Road to Bommasandra, will also run as per the regular timetable.
BMRCL stated that normal services across the entire Purple Line, including the affected stretch, will resume from 9 a.m.
