Minister for Social Welfare Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, along with Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, other public representatives and TDP leaders, laid the foundation stone for the new TDP Parliament building in Ongole on Wednesday.

Addressing the media during the ground-breaking ceremony, the Minister said, “The TDP flag has been flying high for the past 44 years, ever since it was founded by former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao in 1982.”

“With the emergence of the TDP, revolutionary changes have taken place in the society. Following his footsteps, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh are further strengthening the party, which is working for the public welfare and social justice,” he added.

Earlier, participating in another programme at Kondapi constituency, the Minister said that around ₹88.14 lakh has been sanctioned for agricultural machinery and equipment for 2026-27 under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation (SMAM) scheme.

The Minister urged the eligible farmers to apply online for farm equipment under SMAM scheme by May 19. He said that the coalition government is working for the welfare of the farmers and it is supporting them by using technology to make agriculture profitable.
