Two bike-borne persons were killed after they were runover by a lorry near Ariyapalayam on Tuesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Suresh, 42, a resident of Nettapakkam and Lokanathan alias Loknayagi, a resident of Keezhsathamangalam. Suresh was returning home in his two-wheeler after working as a watchman in a private firm near Villianur when Lokanathan sought a lift.

When they reached Ariyapalyam the mishap occurred and both were killed on the spot, the police said.
