A total of 2,800 personnel, including paramilitary forces, are to deployed in security duties on the polling day in Ramanathapuram district on April 23.
District Superintendent of Police (SP), G. Chandeesh, speaking to reporters, said, “There are 1,514 polling stations across the four constituencies of Paramakudi (SC), Thiruvadanai, Ramanathapuram, and Mudukulathur in Ramanathapuram district.”
