Director of Tribal Welfare, Sudha Bhargavi on Thursday inspected the ongoing construction works of the ‘Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum’ being developed by the State government at Tajangi village in Chintapalli mandal of Alluri Sitharama Raju district. The museum is being constructed to commemorate the sacrifices and struggles of tribal freedom fighters who played a significant role in India’s Independence movement.
During her visit, Ms. Sudha Bhargavi inspected the construction site and reviewed the progress of works being carried out in Block-1 and Block-2. She held a detailed review meeting with engineering officials, contractors and other authorities. A presentation on the status of the project was also shared. She enquired about the quality standards being maintained in the construction works and directed officials to ensure that the museum reflected tribal culture and heritage.
Contractors were told to expedite works and complete the entire project within the stipulated deadline without any delay so that it could be opened to the public at the earliest.
The director also stressed the need for incorporating advanced digital technology and modern audio-visual systems in the museum to effectively showcase the sacrifices and struggles of tribal freedom fighters to the younger generation.
