The Mulky police arrested Suhana, 21, a final year BCA student fromn a college in Kundapur, for alleged drug peddling and recovered 1.42 kg of hydroweed cannabis from her.
In a press note, the police said, on a tip-off, Suhana was found allegedly attempting to sell cannabis near Mulky railway station on May 12. The police said Suhana had procured hydroweed cannabis from Chennai. She was attempting to sell it in Mangaluru.
A team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (North) Srikanth arrested Suhana and recovered hydroweed cannabis worth ₹35 lakh.
A case was registered against Suhana for offences under Sections 8(C) and 20 (B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The police said Suhana was accused in a case each registered by Bengaluru International Airport Customs and the Kavoor police in 2025 and 2026 respectively for offences under provisions of NDPS Act.
