A cybersecurity research and solutions centre, TechGuard Labs Foundation, was inaugurated at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College in Coimbatore on May 15, 2026 (Friday) as part of an India-Israel collaborative initiative aimed at strengthening cybersecurity research, training and industry support in South India.
The foundation has been established through a partnership involving SNR Sons Charitable Trust, Ariel University, Promitei Ltd and ERA IT Consulting & Audit Ltd. The initiative will focus on cybersecurity solutions, skill development, applied research and industry-academia collaboration for businesses and educational institutions.
The inauguration was led by Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust Sundar Ramakrishnan, Joint Managing Trustee Narendran Soundararaj, and Trustees Ramakrishna Vijayakumar and Lakshminarayanaswamy Doraiswamy.
Special addresses were delivered by Albert Pinhasov, Rector of Ariel University, and Yair Osheroff, Consul of Israel for Trade and Economic Affairs in Bengaluru. They highlighted the importance of global cooperation in cybersecurity and technological innovation.
Among the special invitees were Chief Executive Officer of Biopharmax India Shankar Mohan, Deputy Managing Director of TechGuard Labs Foundation David Belostotsky, and Chief Business Officer of the foundation Lalindra Munasinghe.
The event was attended by Chief Executive Officer of SNR Sons Charitable Trust C.V. Ramkumar, Chief Administrative Officer D. Maheshkumar, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College Soundararajan, Senior Manager of TechGuard Labs Foundation Hari Hara Goal, department heads, deans, faculty members and industry representatives.
