The explosion at the Dakshin Energy unit in Parawada Industrial Park on Tuesday not only claimed two lives but also plunged two families into an uncertain future.

The young employees who died were B. Trinadh (24), and V. Venkatesh (34). Though their life stories were different, both men shared a common goal - giving it all for their families for a good future.

Venkatesh’s wife, V. Kamala, was seen inconsolable at the accident site in Parawada Industrial Unit, as relatives struggled to comfort her.

“I repeatedly told my ‘bava’ not to work in industries. We hear about accidents so often, and this company was located far from our house. But he would never listen. He always said he had to earn to provide a better life for our children,” she said.

Venkatesh leaves behind his wife and three daughters aged nine, five and three.

According to family members, he never viewed having three daughters as a burden. Instead, he considered them his strength and dreamt of giving them a good future.

“He always said that his daughters should receive a good life. He worked only for them,” said Shanthi, a relative who accompanied the family to the accident site.

Trinadh, had joined Dakshin Energy a few months ago for a better salary.

His father, Paru Naidu, suffers from health problems, while his mother works as an agricultural labourer. He had taken on the responsibility of being the family’s primary earner.

“He laid the foundation for a house but had to stop construction because of financial difficulties. Every rupee he earned went towards the family,” recalled his Uncle, M Somi Naidu.

Another family member, N. Raju, said Trinadh’s ambitions were simple but meaningful.

“All he wanted was to build a house for his parents, find a good match for his 18-year-old sister B. Madhavi and ensure his family lived comfortably. He never thought about himself.”

His sister, Madhavi, was among those who arrived at the accident site. Unable to come to terms with the loss, she broke down repeatedly as relatives tried in vain to console her.

According to his cousin Padma, Trinadh had reportedly completed his regular shift but agreed to continue on the night shift, after he was offered overtime.

“He thought the extra money would help his family. That’s why he stayed back. He wanted to earn a little more,” she said, adding that that decision proved fatal.
