Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit Kuppam on May 20 (Wednesday) to participate in the annual Sri Prasanna Tirupathi Gangamma Temple jatara celebrations.
District Collector Sumit Kumar, in a statement issued on Monday, said the Chief Minister would arrive at Tumsi in Santhipuram mandal by helicopter at 11 a.m. as part of his one-day visit to the district.
Mr. Naidu will then proceed to his residence at Kadapalle village before visiting the Sri Prasanna Tirupathi Gangamma temple in Kuppam municipality around noon. He is scheduled to offer special prayers and take part in the jatara festivities.
After the temple visit, the Chief Minister will return to his residence at Kadapalle in the afternoon. He will later leave for Bengaluru by helicopter from the Tumsi helipad at 3.30 p.m.
The Collector said elaborate security and administrative arrangements were being made in Kuppam and surrounding areas in view of the Chief Minister’s visit. Police officials have reviewed measures related to traffic regulation, crowd management and security deployment ahead of the tour.
