In a major step towards modernising patient care, the outpatient services at KR Hospital will soon be transformed into an “all-in-one” facility on par with corporate hospitals, with work on the ₹75-crore Centenary OPD Complex finally under way. The project is expected to be completed and operational by 2028.
The proposed multi-storey building, coming up at the site of the erstwhile special wards in the heart of the hospital campus, will consolidate all outpatient department (OPD) services under one roof. This is expected to significantly ease congestion at the hospital, which currently caters to over 2,000 outpatients daily.
