District Collector and Returning Officer Durgamoorthi on Friday (April 24) said that 163 CCTV cameras were installed in the counting centre on the campus of a private college at Tiruchengode, which stored the EVMs and VVPATs used in six Assembly constituencies.
Strongrooms were allocated to each constituency — Namakkal, Paramathi Velur, Senthamangalam, Rasipuram, Tiruchengode and Kumarapalayam — and sealed in the presence of agents of the candidates on Thurdsay.
