The annual conference of the Indian Society of Cleft Lip Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies, Indocleftcon 2026, will be held from May 7 to May 9, at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing in Mysuru.
Inauguration of the conference will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at seminar hall, Knowledge Park. Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Gundu Rao, Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Minister for Social Welfare and Mysuru district in-charge, Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will be the chief guests.
The event is organised to bring together dedicated cleft and craniofacial professionals from across the country and abroad. Cleft Lip and Palate is a congenital condition seen in one out of 700 births in India. The conference will serve as a platform for delegates to engage, discuss, and deliberate on key issues in cleft care, while fostering meaningful integration and collaboration within the professional community, a press release said.
The theme of this year’s conference, “Connect, Communicate, Collaborate,” reflects the core vision of strengthening interdisciplinary partnerships. In alignment with this theme, the conference will highlight modern concepts and advancements in cleft care, with a strong emphasis on a comprehensive, team-based approach that unites all relevant specialities, the release added.
The conference is expected to host approximately 400 participants, including anaesthesiologists, maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, paediatric dentists, plastic surgeons, speech and language therapists, and other allied specialists from across India and abroad. A total of 150 scientific papers focusing on multidisciplinary aspects of cleft care will be presented in parallel sessions, showcasing current research, clinical innovations, and collaborative approaches.
