Compensation cheques for the death of two sisters, who died in a gas geyser mishap in Periyapatna about seven months ago, were handed over to their parents on Wednesday.
Two sisters — Gulshan Taj, 23, and Simraj Taj, 21, both residents of Bettadapura in Periyapatna taluk, pursuing MBA and MCA respectively — were staying at a relative’s house in Periyapatna town for their studies.
