The State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) Telangana launched the annual credit plan 2026-27, projecting credit disbursement, by the banks in the State during the fiscal, at ₹9,72,253 crore.

The projection corresponds to a 12.99% increase compared to the disbursement in the previous fiscal year, State Bank of India (SBI) General Manager and SLBC Convenor Satish Kumar said, in a presentation, after Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka unveiled the credit plan.

Disbursals under Priority Sector Advances for 2026-27 are projected at ₹4,34,015 crore, an increase of 11.8% year on year; while the Agricultural Sector disbursals, for 2026-27, are expected to 9.52% higher at ₹1,81,035 crore.

Short term production credit disbursals are expected to be ₹96,920 crore, an increase of 8.29% over the previous fiscal; and agriculture term loans (under farm credit) 9.16% higher to ₹57,192 crore. The annual credit plan has projected disbursements to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be ₹2,30,491 crore in FY27, an increase of 13.23% over the previous year.

The allocation for education loan is ₹2,026 crore and for the Housing sector ₹12,446 crore, the SLBC said in a release.

Sharing details of the performance of the banks in Telangana during 2025-26, SBI Hyderabad Circle CGM Neelesh Dwivedi said total deposits of the banks increased by ₹1,02,995 crore and stood at ₹9,43,425 crore. Total advances grew by ₹1,52,497 crore during the financial year and advances of all banks were at ₹12,33,858 crore.
