Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address the second Joint Commanders’ Conference, themed ‘Military capability in new domains’, in Jaipur on Thursday (May 7, 2026).
The two-day conference, being held at the Sapta Shakti Command headquarters, will bring together the top leadership of the Indian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence. Mr. Singh is also scheduled to chair key sessions during the event.
Senior military leadership, including the Chief of Defence Staff and top commanders from the Army, Navy, and Air Force will participate in the deliberations.

According to the Integrated Defence Staff, the conference will be held from May 7–8, 2026, and will focus on enhancing military capabilities in emerging domains such as cyber, space and cognitive warfare. Discussions will also cover future warfare strategies and strengthening self-reliance through innovation, indigenisation and civil-military fusion.
The conference coincides with the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, adding significance to the deliberations on evolving security challenges and preparedness.
The event is expected to serve as a key platform for shaping India’s military strategy in next-generation warfare domains while reinforcing jointness among the armed forces.
