Cubbon Park metro station was shut on May 4 morning due to a power failure, with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announcing that trains will not stop at the station until power supply is restored.
The disruption came after brief but heavy rain lashed parts of Bengaluru in the early hours. While services on the Purple Line of Namma Metro are otherwise running normally, trains are not halting at Cubbon Park station, affecting commuters travelling to and from Bengaluru’s central business district during the busy morning rush.
