Devotees from far and near thronged the banks of Kodaganar river on Friday morning to witness Lord Soundararaja Perumal of Thadikombu enter the river, as part of the annual Chithirai festival in Dindigul.
The deity entered Kodaganar river at around 7 a.m.. The Lord who was taken out on a procession halted at Bhagavathi Amman temple on Thursday night. As the legend goes, the Lord relieves the Manduka sage of a curse.
