Thoothukudi MLA A. Srinath inspected Thoothukudi Government Medical College and Hospital (TKGMCH) on Monday.
Addressing the media, following the inauguration of MLA office in Toovipuram, he said, “People can submit their petition here from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Regardless of whether I am present in the constituency or not, I will continue to receive and act on the petitions.”
He added that public grievance would be addressed promptly, stating “Good governance will prevail under our leader’s (referring to Tami Nadu CM C. Joseph Vijay) rule.”
Mr. Srinath further emphasised that there would be no room for corruption and that governance shall remain transparent. “No one should misuse the name of Chief Minister, the party or its functionaries for any kind of extravagance or misconduct. There should be no corruption or illegal collection,”he noted.
Later Mr. Srinath inspected TKGMCH. He visited various wards, including the emergency department and interacted with patients. During the visit, he also tasted the food prepared for patients to check its quality. Dean (in-charge) R. Padmanabhan, Resident Medical Officer Silas Jeyamani and other doctors and staff were present.
