Alpasankhyata Hindulida Mattu Dalit (AHINDA) will organise workshops and rallies across the State to mark its 25th year of formation, Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi said in Hubballi on Sunday.
He said that a mega rally will be organised to mark the silver jubilee celebrations.
He said that the main theme of these conventions will be about the social status and educational development of all deprived communities in the State.
“Several leaders and activists are of the opinion that AHINDA platforms should not be used for political purposes. I am one of them,” the AHINDA leader said.
To queries, the KPCC vice-president said that the party high command will soon put an end to various confusions in the State Congress unit.
“There is some confusion about change of leadership. There is also some confusion about a Cabinet reshuffle. I think the party high command will soon resolve such issues. It has to be done for the smooth functioning of the party,” he said.
He said that there is no discussion in the party as of now about changing the KPCC leadership.
“However, this is not a matter of discussion at our level. The senior leadership will address such issues,” he said.
He said that he is in favour of the State government publishing the caste census report at the earliest.
“The earlier it is released, the more beneficial it will be to the various communities. It will also help facilitate good governance by giving proper data to various departments that implement various social welfare schemes,” he said.
