The Human Rights Forum (HRF) has called for the immediate suspension of environmental clearances granted to “hyperscale” data centre projects in Tarluvada and Rambilli, alleging a systemic collapse of environmental governance in Andhra Pradesh.
In a statement, issued by Y. Rajesh (HRF AP State general secretary), G. Rohith (HRF AP State secretary), and V.S. Krishna (HRF AP & TG coordination committee member), the rights body has demanded that the approvals issued on April 18, 2026, be revoked and subjected to a fresh, transparent appraisal process including mandatory public hearings.
