Telangana Grameena Bank’s net profit increased 90 per cent at ₹1,283 crore in the financial year ended March 31, 2026 compared to the previous fiscal year.
“FY26 has been a truly outstanding year for Telangana Grameena Bank. Our profit after tax has nearly doubled — up 89.96 per cent to ₹1,282.84 crore. This jump is the result of our steady focus on prudent lending, digital innovation and strengthening our roots in semi-urban and rural Telangana,’’ K Prathapa Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Grameena Bank said in a release.
“We now command nearly one-fourth of the market share in rural Telangana areas, which really makes us the bank of choice in these areas. With net NPA staying at zero and our capital adequacy ratio at a solid 26.24 per cent, almost three times the regulatory requirement, our balance sheet is stronger than ever. We remain fully committed to driving sustainable growth that continues to support Telangana’s economy,’’ he added.
The total deposits grew 7.58 per cent to ₹34,604 crore, while gross advances increased 12 per cent to ₹46,547 crore. Total business crossed ₹81,152 crore, registering a 10.14 per cent growth.
The net interest margin (NIM) improved to 4.33 per cent from 3.99 per cent and yield on advances stood at 9.83 per cent. Operating efficiency also enhanced significantly, with the expenses ratio declining sharply to 39.47 per cent from 45.38 per cent in the previous year. The bank continued to maintain a healthy return on assets (RoA) of 2.13 per cent and return on equity (RoE) of 14.10 per cent.
The bank’s capital adequacy ratio (CRAR) stood at a robust 26.24 per cent as on March 31, 2026 (25.42 last year), well above the regulatory requirement of 9 per cent. Gross non-performing assets (GNPA) improved to 1.98 per cent of gross advances from 2.10 per cent last year), while net non-performing assets (NNPA) remained at zero per cent of net advances.
