Kerala Blasters finished its Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 season with a flourish after grabbing a 2-1 win over FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi on Monday.

A sumptuous right-footer by Kevin Yoke and a cool finish by Fallou Ndiaye gave Kerala Blasters its fifth win, and it completed a dramatic turnaround under Ashley Westwood. Kerala Blasters sits eighth in the standings with 17 points, while Goa finished a rung higher with 20.

FC Goa came hard at Kerala Blasters in the opening minutes of the first half. But Blasters weathered the testing phase and gradually began to assert itself with moves from both channels.

However, Goan goalkeeper Bob Jackson Raj proved to be the stumbling block as he intercepted two good passes before they could reach Blasters’ strikers. But the best chance of the first half came Dejan Drazic’s way in the 30th minute, but the Serbian scuffed his shot wide when he only had the goalkeeper Arsh Anwer Shaikh to beat.

Blasters’ goal had another close shave in the dying minutes of the first half when Udanta Singh headed wide a cross from Akash Sangwan.

Blasters started the second half on a promising note with Francisco Feuillassier (Franchu) fizzing a shot just over the bar. Then came the piece of brilliance from Yoke, whose curling right-footer beat Bob to put the Blasters ahead in the 48th minute.

The goal sparked a series of good moves from the Goans, and it ended with Nemil finding the equaliser with a good finish off a low cross from Brison. Blasters always looked dangerous in the turnovers, with Yoke providing the impetus upfront.

Goa conceded a corner, and poor defending saw Ndiaye score the winning goal in the 81st minute.
