Qatar will host Lebanon’s postponed match against Yemen in the 2027 Asian Cup group qualification round fixture on June 4 in Doha, state news agency QNA reported on Monday.
The winner will join Group E alongside South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam in the tournament, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
A draw will be enough for Lebanon, while Yemen must win to qualify for the first time since 2019.
In a statement in March, the Asian Football Confederation underlined the constraints on conducting the fixture due to the war in West Asia.
“This decision was made to ensure the safety and security of all stakeholders, taking into account the material constraints currently affecting the Lebanese Football Association in identifying a neutral venue and arranging necessary travel for the match,” a statement from AFC read.
