Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Jamie Overton has suffered a thigh injury and returned to the United Kingdom for futher assessment and management, the franchise announced on social media on Wednesday night.
Its been an injury laden season for the Super Kings, and the Englishman has become the latest casualty.
Its a big blow for CSK as Overton has been one of the standout performers for the side this season, making an impact with both bat and ball.
In the post, there was no timeline provided for the 32-year-old’s return, and it remains to be seen if Overton will recover and comeback in time for CSK’s next game against Lucknow Super Giants on Friday.
