The logo outside the stadium for the Qatar vs Switzerland FIFA World Cup 2026 match in San Francisco has been covered in advance of the tournament.
The stadium is commonly known as the Levi’s Stadium, named after the iconic denim brand and generally the home of the San Francisco 49ers, but for the duration of the FIFA World Cup it will be known as the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium.
The Levi’s logo, which hangs outside the stadium, has also been covered by a cloth as well.
This is because during the World Cup, FIFA effectively takes control over the stadium and removes any signage that conflicts with its own commercial agreements.
As a result, the iconic Levi’s logo has been covered up for the duration of the tournament.
