3 The number of bowlers with 200-plus career wickets in the IPL. KKR’s Sunil Narine became the third bowler after Yuzvendra Chahal (230) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (220) to reach this milestone during his match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 3 May 2026. He, however, becomes the first non-Indian to achieve this in the IPL. However, what is unique about Sunil Narine is that he became the first to reach 200+ wickets while playing for just one franchise (KKR). The next best is Jasprit Bumrah, who has 186 wickets while playing for only Mumbai Indians.

5 The number of sides that have successfully chased targets of 250 or more in T20 cricket. Punjab Kings’ 265-4 against Delhi Capitals on 25 April 2026 is now the highest-ever successful run chase not only in IPL cricket but in all T20 cricket. Interestingly, Punjab Kings bettered its own record of 262, set in 2024 in Kolkata. This makes Punjab Kings the only side to achieve this feat on two separate occasions in T20 cricket history.

5 The number of Indian batters who reached their 50th run in fewer than 14 balls in T20 cricket. CSK’s Urvil Patel, against LSG in Chennai during his explosive knock of 65 (in 23 balls), reached his fifty in just 13 balls. He now joins four other Indians to achieve this record in T20 cricket. Patel, meanwhile, emulates Yashasvi Jaiswal to become the second batter to reach an individual fifty in 13 balls — the quickest in the IPL.

6 The number of batters who have made 14000-plus runs in T20 cricket. Virat Kohli became the latest entry into this elite group of players during his unbeaten 105 against KKR in Raipur on 13 May 2026. In doing so, he also became the quickest to reach this milestone in fewest number of innings. Kohli, meanwhile, also became the fourth batter in T20 cricket to register 10 or more three-figure scores. He now joins Chris Gayle, Babar Azam and David Warner with 10 or more centuries in T20 cricket, as shown in the second / third tables below.
