Mohun Bagan Super Giant has reached an agreement with Punjab FC manager Panagiotis Dilmperis to take over as its next head coach in the upcoming season.
Bagan had been looking for a successor to Sergio Lobera, whose contract expired at the end of the 2025-26 season. The Spaniard had attracted interest from the Bangladesh men’s team before it moved on to former USA captain Thomas Dooley.
Meanwhile, Dilmperis will join the Mariners camp officially after completing the requisite paperwork.
The 51-year-old has been in charge of the Shers since 2024 and took them to the AIFF Super Cup semifinals last season and within touching distance of winning the Indian Super League on the final matchday.
