New Zealand forward Elijah Just opened the scoring for his side in its FIFA World Cup 2026 opener against Iran in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Just linked up with forward Chris Wood inside the box before smashing in a volley high into the goal to give his side the lead.
The 26-year-old Just has Chinese heritage through his mother, while his father is German.
Just, who represents Motherwell in the Scottish League, made his New Zealand debut in 2019. His strike against Iran is his 10th goal in international football.
