DC's home disadvantage
DC has struggled to read home conditions this season, having lost the last four games at the Arun Jaitley. The pitches produced so far this season have been on extreme ends of the spectrum, scenarios DC has failed to adapt to on multiple occasions.
In the match against PBKS, DC failed to defend 264 after batting first on an abolute belter and against RCB in the following game, the home side was bowled out for 75 on a green surface that drew comparisons to pitches in New Zealand. The last match against CSK proved to be a rank turner, once again catching the home side off guard as it slumped to an eight wicket defeat.
DC head coach Hemang Badani has maintained that the team gets no say and has no influence in how the pitches are prepared, and it remains to be seen if DC will be able to adapt to the conditions better than the opposition against KKR tonight, something which has not been the case this season.

Do or die match for both teams
It’s now or never for DC and KKR as both teams desperately need a win to stay alive in the competition.
Delhi Capitals has lost its last four games at home and what’s more, the home side has not defeated the Knight Riders since 2024.
Kolkata Knight Riders, who are on a three match winning streak after its early season struggles, are favourites going by recent record and form against the Capitals tonight.
