Kerala Blasters will look for a strong finish on Monday in its Indian Super League 2025-26 season finale against FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi.

After a dismal start to the campaign, Kerala Blasters has turned things around under new coach Ashley Westwood and is unbeaten in the last five matches.

But with no further chance to improve its table position, Kerala Blasters will look to preserve its current eighth position. However, Kerala Blasters, with 14 points from 12 matches, has an arduous task at hand against Goa.

Kerala Blasters needs to beat Goa to prevent the ninth-placed NorthEast United, 13 points from 12 matches, from overtaking it in the last round. NorthEast has a relatively easy match against the relegated Mohammedan Sporting FC in the last round.

FC Goa dropped points at home to Mohun Bagan, which hampered its chances of a top-three finish. The sixth-placed Goa will look to improve its current standing and will come down hard on the host.

Kerala Blasters, which has a poor overall record against FC Goa, will have to be at the top of its game, and it was echoed by coach Westwood in the pre-match briefing with the media. ”They are a top-ranked side and have some very good Indian national players and experienced foreign players. We have to go out and give our best and try to win the match,” he said.

Kerala Blasters owed its last win to Kevin Yoke, who was a revelation on the right flank. However, against a strong Goan side, Kevin will need more support from his teammates for the host to end the season on a high note.
