India and Pakistan open their Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against each other at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sunday.
While India comes into this fixture with the odds in its favour, someone who can disturb that status quo is Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana.
However on the eve of the match, Sana reportedly copped a blow below the knee during the nets session. There was an injury scare initially, but she seemed to be walking fine as she attended the pre-match press conference.
The 24-year-old has said that she is hopeful of playing.
