The Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 season came to a close with East Bengal securing its first top-flight title in 22 years on Thursday.
The Red and Gold Brigade beat Inter Kashi to finish level on points with rival Mohun Bagan Super Giant, edging the trophy on goal difference.
Its foreign striker, Youssef Ezzejjari, ended the campaign with 11 goals and secured the Golden Boot, while Brazilian midfielder Miguel Figueira won the Golden Ball award. Meanwhile, a lot of its success this season can also be attributed to its backline, which was led by the partnership between Anwar Ali and Kevin Sibille.
