Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan due to an ankle injury, Cricket Australia announced on Tuesday.
In Marsh’s absence, Josh Inglis has been named captain for the series set to begin on May 30 in Rawalpindi before moving to Lahore for the next two matches.
Marsh was recently part of the Lucknow Super Giants team in the Indian Premier League. He was unavailable for his side’s final match last week.
He will remain in Perth for further assessment and treatment and his availability for the white-ball series against Bangladesh — starting June 9 — will be determined in due course.
