Jordan made it to its first-ever FIFA World Cup after it beat Oman 3-0 in the Asian qualifiers, extending its impressive run on the global level.
The Chivalrous Ones stunned the football community, reaching the Asian Cup final for the first time two years ago, and will hope it can repeat a similar spell at the World Cup. Its attack will be led by the veteran duo of Musa Al-Taamari, also known as the ‘Jordanian Messi’ and Ali Olwan, Jordan’s highest goalscorer in the current squad.
Jordan is drawn in Group J, alongside defending champion Argentina, Algeria and Austria, and will open its campaign against the Austrians on June 16.
