The second half of the Indian Super League 2025-26 fixture between NorthEast United and Mohun Bagan Super Giant began after it was delayed by more than an hour due to incessant rain and wet outfield in Guwahati.
The adverse weather at the venue resulted in puddles forming on the pitch of the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, which prevented the match from resumption.
Referee Crystal John was seen inspecting the pitch with both sets of players, but the ball was not moving freely across the pitch.
Play was called off around 8:30pm IST and resumed at around 9:45pm IST.
Earlier in the match, Robson Robinho gave the Mariners the lead in the first half.
