Argentina is set to take on Algeria at the Kansas City Stadium, USA, in both sides’ first Group J match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Monday.
This will be Argentina’s eighteenth World Cup, and twelfth consecutive tournament. La Albiceleste have won three World Cups in its history, 1978, 1986, and most recently 2022.
For Algeria, this will be its fourth tournament, with The Desert Warriors’s best result being a Round of 16 elimination in 2014, losing to eventual winners Germany.
The Argentina vs Algeria FIFA World Cup 2026 match will be played at the Kansas City Stadium in the United States on June 16, with kick-off scheduled for 8 p.m. local time (6:30 a.m. IST on June 17, Wednesday).
