The Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 title race is down to the wire as East Bengal takes on Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday.

Both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan - sitting second and third respectively with 22 points - will know that a win will help them place one hand on the trophy, heading into the last game of the season.

And for the first time since East Bengal’s move to the ISL, it holds the edge ahead of a Kolkata derby. But, while the injury woes have been minimal for East Bengal this season, fresh concerns arose before the ‘Boro’ match with Saul Crespo and Naorem Mahesh Singh, two of the club’s captains, sitting out injured, while another captain, Souvik Chakrabarti, is suspended.
