The group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 concluded on Saturday with all 32 teams for the knockouts confirmed.

The Round of 32 will see a couple of heavyweight clashes, none greater than the game between Portugal and Croatia in Toronto on July 3.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal, Spain, Germany and France are all on the same side of the bracket, and could potentially meet in the subsequent rounds.

DR Congo also qualified for the knockouts, joining fellow first-timers in Canada, South Africa, Cape Verde, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
