England was made to work for its 2-0 win by Panama but ensured it finished its FIFA World Cup 2026 group stage at the top of Group L standings on Saturday.

The Three Lions finished with seven points, after its wins over Panama and Croatia, and a draw against Ghana.

As the winner of Group L, England will take on one of the third-placed eights that advances to the Round of 32.

As things stand, it will face Senegal in the next round, a game which will be played on July 1 at the Atlanta Stadium. However, if DR Congo makes it through from Group K, it will face England in the Round of 32.
