Liverpool has announced that it has parted ways with Dutch manager Arne Slot after two seasons at the helm in the Anfield dugout.
Slot won the Premier League title in his maiden season after replacing legendary manager Jurgen Klopp, but endured a more difficult second season as the Reds finished fifth amidst reports of clashes with senior players like Mohamed Salah.
Here are three managers who could potentially take over from Slot at Liverpool:
Spanish manager Andoni Iraola has departed Bournemouth after three impressive seasons on the south coast. Under his charge, Bournemouth finished in 12th, ninth, and sixth, securing European football for the first time in its history in his final season in charge despite having lost several senior players at the start of the season.
He also won plaudits for instituting a brave, attacking style of football at the Vitality Stadium.
However, Iraola made his intentions of leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season known as early as April, and he is now the frontrunner to take over on Merseyside.
Another option departing from a Premier League is Austrian Oliver Glasner, who is leaving Crystal Palace after signing off by winning the UEFA Europa League. Glasner is a more pragmatic manager than Iraola, but has had success with Eintracht Frankfurt and Crystal Palace.

He was strongly linked with the Manchester United job, but with Michael Carrick taking up that job, he could now be a strong candidate for the Liverpool job.
A left-field option for Liverpool could be turning to a club legend like Steven Gerrard. Gerrard, who is the third-most appearances of all-time for the Reds, has been out of work since leaving Al-Ettifaq in 2025. However, he possesses significant managerial experience with Rangers and Aston Villa as well.
If the Liverpool hierarchy feels it needs someone familiar to the club to take over, he could be an option.
