Project Amarjeet, a free coaching and mentoring initiative launched by Gagan Narang in the honour of his mother Amarjeet, announced the distribution of five lakh pellets across one thousand tins to shooters and shooting ranges across India.

The pellets are being provided by Project Amarjeet’s first charity partner, Charrey.in, which is building the largest airgun pellet distribution community platform in India. Charrey.in has additionally created a customised donation link for Project Amarjeet through which anyone can contribute directly toward the training of a shooting sport athlete in India.

Shooters, coaches and academies in need of pellets may write to Project Amarjeet at connect@projectamarjeet.in. Those wishing to contribute toward the training of a shooting sport athlete may do so through the Project Amarjeet donation link at charrey.in.

Yuvraj Sandhu has late stumble to drop out of top 20

Yuvraj Sandhu carded a round of even par 72 after being well placed around the turn in the third round at the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship on the third day here.

He dropped a double bogey and a bogey on the back nine to finish at 72. With a total score of 4-under par (68-72-72) Sandhu is placed T-46.

Earlier Shubhankar Sharma and Veer Ahlawat had missed the cut.

Sandhu began the week with a strong opening round of 4-under 68 and followed it with a difficult second day where he carded an even par 72.

In his third round Sandhu began strong and had made four birdies and one bogey in the first 10 holes and looked poised to finish the third day inside the top 20.

However, a double bogey on the 15th hole followed by a late bogey on the 18th saw Sandhu drop three shots in four holes and drop down to T-46 on the leaderboard.

South African Yurav Premlall leads the field with a total score of 19-under par (70-64-63) after carding a third round of 9-under 63.

The South African shot the low score for the day on both the second and third rounds to have set himself up with a lead of five strokes heading into the final day.

Yellamaraju in T-20 as Alex Fitzpatrick leads Truist

Charlotte (USA), May 10 (PTI) Indian-origin golfer Sudarshan Yellamaraju carded his second straight round of 2-under 69 to move into the top 20 at the Truist Championship here.

He was the best among the Indian origin players at T-20, totalling 4-under par (71-69-69) while Akshay Bhatia (74) slipped to T-37 after being T-12 a day earlier. Sahith Theegala (72) dropped to T-57.

Alex Fitzpatrick, playing only his second Signature event, finds himself in lead at 14-under par after having carded 7-under 64 on the third day. His elder brother, Matt, with whose helped he won the Zurich Classic to earn a PGA Tour card, shot 69 and was T-45.

Rory McIlroy, the world’s No. 2 player and a four-time tournament champion, had a disastrous day, shooting 75 to fall out of contention. He is at 1-under total and T-37.
