FC Goa is hosting defending champion Mohun Bagan Super Giant in an Indian Super League 2025-26 match at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao on Saturday.

However, the Gaurs’ head coach Manolo Marquez is not present at the team’s dugout, with assistant coach Gouramangi Singh taking over the reins.

Why is Manolo Marquez not there at FC Goa vs Mohun Bagan?

The Spaniard has been handed a two-match ban, with one of them being suspended. This means that Marquez will not be at the dugout for the Mohun Bagan match, but be present in the stands.

The former India head coach was handed this ban by the AIFF Disciplinary Committee following his comments after FC Goa’s 0-2 loss to Jamshedpur FC which criticised the refereeing during the match.
