The second round of Group L match at FIFA World Cup 2026 came to an end with England being held to a draw with Ghana and Croatia earning its first win of the current edition against Panama.

England and Ghana currently sit atop the standings with four points apiece, with the former enjoying a better goal difference. Croatia is in third, one point behind.

Qualification scenarios:

England and Ghana can seal their spot in the next round with a draw in its final group fixture. The Three Lions face Panama, while the Black Stars take on Croatia. A loss could also suffice to go through as one of the third-placed teams.

Croatia can usurp Ghana into second place with a win in their head-to-head encounter. Anything less and the 2018 finalist will need to be among the top eight third-placed teams to continue in the competition.

Panama has been eliminated from the competition. Even a win against England in its final group game will not be enough to move up to third due to Croatia’s head-to-head advantage.
