Turkey will take on Paraguay in its second Group D match at the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the San Francisco Bay Area on Friday with both teams aiming for a first win of the competition.
Turkey suffered a shock defeat to Australia in its opener, while Paraguay was taken apart 4-1 against co-host USA.
The referee in-charge for this game is Salvador’s Ivan Arcides Barton Cisneros, who is taking part in his second World Cup.
He was the match official in Japan’s 2-1 win over Germany in the 2022 edition and also the round of 16 match between England and Senegal.
However, he is no stranger to big games, having officiated in the Copa America, FIFA Club World Cup, and Olympics.
Barton has taken charge of 277 games across league till date, and shown 1,432 yellow cards and 67 red cards.
