Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al Nassr beat Damac 4-1 at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh on Thursday to win the Saudi Pro League title on the final day of the season.
The result ended Al Nassr’s wait for a league crown, its first since the 2018-19 season, and gave Ronaldo his first major trophy with the Saudi club. The Portuguese forward, who had been left frustrated by last week’s AFC Champions League Two final defeat to Gamba Osaka, responded with two second-half goals on a night when Al Nassr turned pressure into celebration.
Sadio Mane gave Al Nassr the lead in the 33rd minute, rising unmarked in the middle to guide Joao Felix’s corner into the net. Felix had been lively through the first half, drifting between the right side and central areas, while Mane constantly asked questions of the Damac defence.
Damac, fighting to avoid relegation, stayed in the game for long periods and briefly gave itself hope after the break when Morlaye Sylla converted a penalty in the 58th minute. But Al Nassr’s response was immediate and decisive.
Kingsley Coman restored the host’s two-goal cushion in the 52nd minute, finishing after cutting inside from the right. Ronaldo then took control of the contest. His first goal came from a free-kick from a tight angle, the forward wrapping his foot around the ball and sending it through a crowd of bodies before it nestled inside the net.

The 41-year-old added his second in the 81st minute after more good work from Coman. The Frenchman drove in from the right, looked up and picked out his captain, who made no mistake from the middle to seal the win and the title.
Al Nassr dominated the contest, finishing with 62.1 per cent possession, 13 shots and eight on target, while Damac managed only three attempts and one on target.
The defeat, coupled with Al Riyadh’s win over Al Okhdood, confirmed Damac’s relegation. For Al Nassr, however, the final whistle brought release. After missed chances in previous competitions and a painful continental final defeat, Ronaldo and Al Nassr finally had their Saudi league title.
